Economic Development
Established under the Michigan Economic Development Corporations Act of 1974, which allowed financing of industrial or commercial projects with tax-exempt bonds. EDC financing is restricted to new and existing manufacturing enterprises and non-profit charitable 501(c)(3) organizations.
Appointed by the Mayor and Confirmed by Council - Six-Year Terms
Meets on an "as needed" basis.
