The City of Rochester Hills Fire Department provides fire suppression and emergency medical services to the residents, visitors and businesses of our community. Additionally, the department provides a variety of public education, safety programs and building inspections.
Stations
The Fire Department has five fire stations: one in the center of the city and four stations located in each corner area of the city. Our department also has a mutual aid agreement with all bordering communities. We are a combination department with full-time firefighter / paramedics and paid-on-call firefighter / EMTs who provide emergency response, as well as full-time administrative staff who provide additional support.
Staff
Full-time firefighter / paramedics are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Paid-on-call personnel are scheduled for EMS service coverage, and provide on-call response to a station for necessary equipment during fire emergencies. The Rochester Hills Fire Department is a member of Oakland County Mutual Aid Box Alarm Association which specializes in trench collapse, confined space, building collapse, hazardous materials and incident management.
