Arbor Day in Rochester Hills

On the last Friday in April (Arbor Day), the Forestry Division conducts an annual tree-planting ceremony with the Mayor presiding and often a local scouting or youth group in attendance. Different sites are selected each year for the Arbor Day tree; Borden, Spencer, and Avondale Parks, and City Hall grounds have all been chosen in the past.
2018 Arbor Day Ceremony

Meadow Brook Hall at 350 Estate Drive, Rochester.
Rochester Hills - Tree City USA
Rochester Hills has been named a Tree City USA for the 27th year. The Tree City USA program is sponsored by the
Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the National Association of State Foresters and the USDA Forest Service. To become a Tree City USA, a community must meet four standards: a tree board or department, a tree care ordinance, a comprehensive community forestry program, and an Arbor Day observance.
