Board of Review
The Board of Review is a local independent board with the responsibility of reviewing the annual assessment roll as established by the Assessor. The Board meets each March to review the assessment roll as of the facts existing on tax day, the preceding December 31st, to ensure compliance with the Michigan General Property Tax Act. The Board of Review has the authority to amend the Roll, of its own motion, or on sufficient cause being shown by a person(s) at an appeal hearing. Once the Board’s review is complete, the assessment roll is delivered to the County to begin the equalization process.

March Board of Review hearing dates, by appointment only:

 Monday, March 9, 2020  1:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.   6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
 Tuesday, March 10, 2020  1:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.  6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
 Wednesday, March 11, 2020  9:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.  2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Assessor's Review
The department holds an Assessor's Review February 24th through March 6th at which you can review your property record and assessment between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.
